Proplus and Controller not responding

We've got DeltaV SD Plus controller connected to the computer. At first the only error was that the controller is not responding. Now it says that workstation Proplus is not responding (neither does the controller). Restarted the system, checked the cable connection. We're able to ping the IP address, it gives back a positive response every time. I'd appreciate the help.

  • Take the controller off the network and see if the ProPlus responds.
    Are you saying that you can't log into the ProPlus? Have you tried rebooting it?
    I wonder if you have the DeltaV A/B networks crossed. Weird things happen when the networks are crossed.

    Yes, I've tried taking the controller off the network by removing the cables (suspected it was a communication problem, so I tried new ones) still wasn't able to find it in DeltaV Explorer after reconnecting.
    I can log into ProPlus, but anytime I try downloading data I get "The workstation is not responding" error.

    Take this one step at a time. Remove the controller, don't reconnect it, then see if you can do anything with the ProPlus.

    If you are getting a Workstation is not responding when downloading the Pro+ and you are logged into the Pro+, I suspect something might have gotten changed with the network settings on the Pro+. Probably the easiest way to move forward would be to re-run Workstation Configuration on your Pro+. Of course, if you are not comfortable with this, Guardian would be more than willing to help you work through this process if you are up to date on your support.
