Remote Automatin Solutions (RAS) attended 3rd China SCADA RTU Forum from 7 to 8 November in Shanghai New International Expo Centre during the 2012 China International Industry Fair. Participating in the last 2nd China SCADA RTU Forum in Beijing as an audience, RAS, for 1st time, joined such forum as an active player in the China SCADA RTU market by giving a presentation with below messages addressed to the market.

• RAS is a SCADA software and hardware solution business unit under PSG of Emerson Process Management (EPM)
• Acquired by EPM in 2006, Bristol Babcock Inc. and its famous ControlWave RTU series have been part of RAS business and product portfolio
• RAS has the total SCADA system solution for the upstream Oil and Gas industry
• RAS boasts it success of supporting the shale development in North America with its sophisticated RTU/Flow Computer of FloBoss107 and ROC800
• RAS has launched its wireless RTU/Flow Computer with IEC62591 interface for FloBoss107, ROC800 and ControlWave Micro, to better serve global Oil and Gas market

Many audiences were interested in the presentation with various specilized qustions to our SCADA system and RTU/Flow Computer product. For sure, in addition to offering satisfactory answers, RAS also rewared them with the small gifts deliberately prepared. During the forum, we further had some exchange and discussion on the issues and expectations from them.

In addition, we realized that other SCADA RTU players also actively participated in the forum. Siemens brought its SCADA application in water industry and Redlion, a U.S. automation company who acquired SixNet at the end of 2011, also showed its RTU product and application. Besides, some industry end users shared their experience in Power and Water SCADA applicatiton as well. Lastly, SCADA security was another hot topic discussed during the forum.
