AMS station reboot

We have AMS version 14.0 and the system is currently "stuck" 

with a message that reads 

"AMS Device Manager traversing.....Please wait.

It seems like it's stuck doing a hardware Querie and the system does not respond.

Is a reboot of the AMS PC station in order? Whats involved if so when taking this offline

and getting it back online and up and running?
