As part of our maintenance and quick response strategy we are looking to create a CM that will monitor a range of controller and system parameters to identify errors / deviations before they become issues.
In order to use this CM we need to validate it which means triggering / toggling the parameters.
Does anyone have any idea how to manually cause a Hardware Readback Error? ie controller / IO1 / HWRBSTATUS going bad. We're assuming it involves covering a pin on the rail or wiggling a controller slightly.
We could test methods, but our plant does not have any live controllers on our dev system at the moment and cannot impact a live plant.
