WF 4.6 to 4.9 Upgrade question - Product/Product data in two places

Question:

I know you have done a lot of work looking at a 4.6 to 4.9 upgrade. One of the major concerns raised by some customers is the database. The customer is concerned that if they stay on 4.6 (assuming performance is reasonably acceptable), that they will have actual production/product data in two different databases. For regulatory purposes, the customer will need to be able to access that data in 4.6 for a significant period.

Do you have any thoughts about what effort would be required to access 4.6 batch data after an upgrade?

Answer:

All closed order information is captured on the completed batch record. Emerson stores the completed batch record with all attachments and etc in DCA regardless if it is WF 4.6 or WF 4.9. Based on this I believe you should have access to all the data you will need for regulatory purposes.
