As I know, the fastest wireless update is 4 sec. This may be too slow for capturing position feedback for certain valve application. Will the future transmit rate improved to capture events that happen within this 4 sec ?
Yes, there is a WirelessHART function called Report-by-Exception. It will transmit the feedback position only when there is a change in travel position. It means that data is transmitted only when there is a triggered and includes a timestamp. This will helps to improved battery life.

What applications require fast position feedback? Certainly the desired valve position from the controller to the valve must be fast, but does the feedback to the controller also have to be fast? In which applications is fast feedback indication required?
