Session Abstract
The EDF Porcheville plant is now a peaking plant, running only 120 hours a year. This makes it difficult to maintain operators’ best practice from the real automation system. EDF decided to implement a Scenario™ simulation solution from Emerson to train new operators on unit site specifics, while keeping current operators sharp and helping them become familiar with control strategies – even when the plant is not in operation. This presentation will describe the simulation tool and the benefits to EDF.
