Session Abstract
Faced with an increasing demand to comply with regulatory constraints on Functional Safety, Lubrizol decided to implement a number of projects following the IEC61511 standard as evidence of Good Practice. These projects will replace legacy safety systems at three of Lubrizol’s Seveso II facilities in France. The presentation describes the challenges faced by Lubrizol in deploying the IEC61511 standard to the relevant parties in the organisation, and the considerations for the on-going management of Functional Safety once these projects are complete.
