"AB-20180410 DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS WORKSTATION.

Doing so will cause this workstation to become un-configured.

This workstation is not running a Remote Client operating system or the Terminal Service is not installed. Delete the Remote Client Sessions on this workstation, uncheck the Enable Remote Client Functionality on this workstation's property dialog and read the DeltaV Remote Client Overview section in DeltaV Books Online."

I also had many other problems like commissioning a controller or opening the DeltaV Operate Configure, but I think most of them are caused by the first problem. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

Thanks :)

Multiple instances of face plates per workstation

Dear All,

We've recently purchased Emerson's quad monitor workstations and are attempting to pull up more than four face plates per workstation. To my understanding the user can only pin four face plates at one time. If a new face plate is opened, the newly opened faceplate will close one of the pinned face plates. We now have a lot of open real estate with the quad monitors and our operators would like to take advantage of this.

Has anybody worked on or developed such requirements?

If so, please kindly inform and share the details. I have searched the forum as best I could. Please forgive me if this question has already been addressed.

I had 24 unused alarm types come up.

I was able to delete 23 of these 24; the last one gave me the error message "can't delete because it is used in an alarm parameter".

This gives me two issues; firstly I selected all the areas using SAM and dumped this to XML, but at least one alarm was not picked up...how many others have been missed. Obviously I was able to delete 23/24 alarm types so it can't be that many, but this makes me worried.

Secondly and most importantly is there a way to search for alarms using only the alarm type as a parameter?

Hi there,

We have a standalone sim / development system we are trying to make equal to the site system.

The development system consists, Sim platform, two XP machines (Pro & eng station), DV 10.3, controllers.

The process followed and the failure is below (takes place on the development system)

Create new database

Set new database as the active database

Shutdown database

Run workstation configuration (Proplus selected) +++ failure happens here +++

Import new database fhx via explorer (copy of live system fhx)

During point 4) workstation configuration application generates a Db error.

‘an error occurred while adding/configuring this workstation to the deltav database. Failed to open a database. Error code:c0043caa’

From this step on no other DV application will start (e.g. explorer, control studio, DB admin).

It is necessary to restart the DV service using windows admin tools to use any DV application.

When the database is switched back to the old copy, it is no longer possible to successfully download the Pro, as DeltaV reports a workstation configuration must be first run.

How to successfully establish the Pro & one eng station in the new database? ...When workstation configuration fails.

Live at Emerson Exchange Stuttgart Banner

Spring Festival-RMT-elaine he

Spring-RMT-elaine he

early spring-RMT-elaine he

Technology exhibits posting for 365 exchange.docx - 9/6/2012 7:03 AM

This attachment "Technology exhibits posting for 365 exchange.docx" was uploaded to this Group's Media Gallery on 9/6/2012 at 7:03 AM via email.

Emerson WD TOR

The team is hard at work making the product better.
