In surveys after last year’s Emerson Global Users Exchange, attendees said they wanted more access to Emerson experts during the event. The board of directors responded by expanding and refining the Meet the Experts sessions that traditionally close the conference on Friday morning.

The result? More opportunities to meet, question, and learn from the people behind Emerson’s technologies and services.  This year’s sessions – more numerous and more focused than in the past—covered a wide range of topics:

  • Cyber security Meet the expert
  • DeltaV best practices
  • DeltaV virtualization
  • DeltaV diagnostics and controller loading
  • DeltaV alarm management
  • DeltaV SIS safety system lifecycle management
  • DeltaV regulatory control performance
  • DeltaV system health checks, upgrades, and risk management
  • DeltaV process simulation for testing and training
  • Expanding the use of DeltaV advanced control
  • Diagnostic methodology for control valves with smart positioners
  • Integration of remote data with business systems
  • Intelligent device alerts
  • Inventor series:  Sneak peak at Rosemount patents
  • Power and grounding considerations in an automation system
  • Selecting the right flow technology
  • Valve maintenance planning for sustained reliability
  • Wireless best practices and installation guidelines

Each session was staffed by recognized experts who led workshops, presentations, and interactive discussions that enabled participants to gain new insights and – as Steve Sonnenberg put it in his keynote on Monday morning – to go home with at least one new idea they can put to work on Monday.
