Level glass breaking

Hi

we have a level glass to measure level in amine chemical tank. The level glass breaks each time it gets installed. We are trying to find out the root cause of this level glass failure. Could it be the material compatibility (the level glass material is polycarbonate) or something else? Should we contact level glass manufacturer for this?

Your advise/ideas on this are highly appreciated

  It is always a good idea to contact the manufacturer, so I would definately try that. A quick look at chemical compatibility for Polycarbonate from this website www.calpaclab.com/.../ says not to use polycarbonate with amines.

  Hi, What is the end connection, you are using, API recommends for minimum 2" 300#.
