After testing some wells, results are bad.

The issue is the density measurement- (going below reference density of Oil) and that is impacting WC calculations.

Typically, Coriolis (CMF300) showing density below oil reference as highlighted below usually indicates entrained gas and or process upset.

Coriolis meter has been certified by external ISO lab and found to be in working condition.

We encountered frequent alarms on a CMF300 with a recently replaced TX from 2700 series to a more modern 5700 series.

It was reported that weeks before the transmitter replacements on the CMF300 sensor, this alarm was long observed and not acknowledged.

However, after the replacement of the 2700 transmitter with a 5700 transmitter on the same CMF300, the alarm error message was found to still persists. [026 - Sensor Comm. Fail]

On recycle and power on, the core processor LED remains OFF instead of being ON.

it appears the coriolis sensor is not communicating with the transmitter.

Further troubleshooting showed communication from the transmitter to SCADA is okay.

Simulation results are also good.

My Suspicion is on the core processor which i think could be faulty. what do you guys think?

Many thanks in advance for your valuable feedback. We have many flowmeters already installed in Anti-surge Loop for Centrifugal Compressor (installed at suction side).

Before ordering these flowmeter, Process conditions (Flow rates, pressure and temperature had been delivered to manufacturer). Besides that, Fluid data also has been shared to manufacturer like: Fluid type, Density at operating base, Specific gravity, Compressibility at operating base, Molecular Weight, Isentropic exponent, Operating viscosity.

In summary, flowmeters are selected according to Engineering design.

Annubar Flowmeter: 3051CFADG300ZCHFS3A3D0072AA1P1V1V2QC7Q8J3G2

Related to Annubar hardware assembly information:

Flowmeter and meter type: 3051CFA - Annubar flowmeter flanged with opposite side support

Sensor size and material: 3 - 316 stainless steel

Line size: 750 mm (30 in) - Schedule: XS - Material: Carbon Steel (A105)

ID (span): 736.6 mm - Wall: 12.7 mm

Pipe orientation: Horizontal

Connection type: 300#RF ASME B16.5

Mounting type and material: 300#RF ASME B16.5

My Questions are focused on configuration and field calibration or verification:

What are the main considerations to properly configure this flowmeter? Do I should set up the pipe diameter, pipe wall and flow type (methane gas) in the flowmeter configuration?

What tool is needed to configure the flowmeter? At site we have the Trex communicator and realized that basic configuration has been seen and retrieved. Is this the only option or is there a software tool that can be used to configure this flowmeter and have the chance to see more technical information related to the Primary element (Annubar) as well?

How do we know if the Annubar sensing ports are starting to clog?

I need some help in estimating the temperature effect on the overall uncertainty of the Emerson Coriolis meter. In the datasheet, under the title of "Temperature Measurement", it says the following:

Temperature is a measured variable that is available as an output. The temperature is also used internal to the sensor to compensate for temperature influences on Young’s Modulus of Elasticity.

Then it defines the accuracy associated with this temperature sensor under the title of "Accuracy and repeatability on temperature".

It then tells us the "Process Temperature Effect" on mass flow accuracy under the title "Process Temperature Effect". It is also stated that if the meter is zeroed at operating condition, then this effect can be zero.

Now imagine that the process temperature is varying over a certain range, it means that the temperature effect has to be considered. Also, the temperature sensor used to calculate the difference between operating and calibration temperature will be the integrated temperature sensor, therefore, its uncertainty should also be considered as mentioned under the heading of "Accuracy and repeatability on temperature".

But surprisingly, in AGA 11, we do not see the temperature effect as a valid uncertainty contributor in Coriolis mass flow. Why do you think its like that?

Rosemount 8732 mag flow meter how to fix error "Analog output fixed"

I started getting an alarm two days ago on the display Output at 4 mA and elsewhere Analog output fixed.
We are facing one technical issue regarding compliance of AGA 9.

We are trying to get a 24" USM flow calibrated from an external calibration lab. Our existing pipe in the plant is 24" sch60. But that lab does not have the same upstream and downstream pipe spools. They have 24" sch40. So, there will be a 2.5% pipe id difference between calibration and actual field installation. As per AGA-9 Clause#7.2.3, such differences should be within 1%.

Is there any way we can work around this problem? I understand that there will be impact on the calibration uncertainty due to this difference. What do you say?

Support on Coriolis Mass Flow meter

Model: CMF025M320N0A2EZZZ

Transmitter: 2400SIA11B2EZZZ which gives 4-20mA output.

I am using above Corriolis mass flow meter for R410A refrigerant flow measurement.

Flowmeter is connected in-between the liquid line between Condenser outlet and Evaporator Inlet.

Condenser ------ Flowmeter ------ Evaporator. (/resized-image/__size/304x406/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/39/MicrosoftTeams_2D00_image-_2800_13_2900_.png

Observed that my Condenser outlet pressure is constant when Unit is operated in steady state condition , Flow meter values are varying by 4.5% of range and the Evaporator inlet pressure also varying continuously.

Pressure drop between Condenser outlet and Evaporator inlet pressure is 10Psia.

We have installed a sight glass before flow meter which is indicates clear refrigerant flow without any bubbles.

Other Observations:

Initial Status light of flowmeter is Amber before unit is turned on and showing negative flow in the display -2 to -3 lb/min

Once unit starts Status light changes to Green.

Unit is running and when it is turned off status light is green and there is no amber light flashing. Also flow is 0lb/min.

After some time unit is turned off , approx. one hour status light changes to amber and flow is again showing negative in the display.

Also found the other pressures of our air conditioning systems are constant in steady state except evaporator inlet pressure i.e. Flowmeter outlet pressure

Could you please suggest what are all the mounting and other precautions has to be done while installing Coriolis mass flow meter in our setup

Micro motion ELITE Coriolis back flush recommended procedure

Dear Expert,

I was going through the datasheet of Emerson Magnetic Flow meters and came across the performance specifications of 8721 Sensor. It says as following:

Ambient temperature effect: ±0.25% change over operating temperature range

So, in order to calculate the impact of ambient temperature, we need to know what is the reference ambient temperature on Emerson side. So, what I think I have to subtract that reference ambient temperature from my site ambient temperature and multiply it with 0.25%. Can you please confirm this? Can you please also provide reference ambient temperature on your end.

We are trying our hand for the first time on Floboss FB107. We want to connect gas composition coming from DCS on Modbus TCP. I understand that I have to receive concentration for each gas component in the Modbus Table and push it to specific device parameter under:

46-Meter Configuration Parameters>AGANEW1_Meter 1>Nitrogen and so on (please find the attached file)

Please confirm that can I send the un-normalized gas concentration to these parameters? My GC is only sending unnormalized concentration to us and that is what we have on Modbus TCP.

Will floboss normalize it by itself? If not then how to make it work?

Thanks in advance

Regards

What parameter on coriolis (to be precise on 5700 transmitter) which indicate that there is deposit or plugging on tube?, are SMV and Zero Verification enough?,

need help with detail technical explanation on this.

Thank you in advance,
