Hi Flow community, I received this question via Twitter and thought I'd seek your guidance:
@W_Rahman: @JimCahill Sir what Emerson Orifice meter should be used for 200 mmcfd gas?
I imagine it's a function of pipe size, so I wondering if there is a table or other online materials to point W_Rahman to... thanks.
Yes, we would need to know pipe size and pressure of the gas, at a minimum. WIth that information, we could provide a quick estimate. For a complete sizing, the Instrument Toolkit (free) software can be downloaded from this link:

Jim,
As Joel mentioned we would need a little more information to provide a complete answer to the question, however the Instrument Toolkit software would be a great start for sizing the application. Information that will be needed include; pipe size, flow rate, pressure and temperature of line, and what type of gas is being measured (Natural gas, Air, Hydrogen, etc.) and properties of that gas at flowing conditions. As the density of the gas can effect the usable range of the selected meter there currently is not a pipe size to flow rate reference table available.
One piece of information we can provide Rahman from the beginning is that 200 MMSCFD is rather large flow rate (~138900 SCFM) and thus likely the pipe size is larger, in the range of 14+ inches. if this is correct, it may be a good idea of also look at Annubar solutions for ease of installation and use.
