Class_based_Module
When I am trying to change a parameter value in control studio then I discover that the module is read only. This means it is a class based module so I open deltaV explorer for changing the parameter but I am not getting this parameter in this module. So please guide me how can I change it ?

You can only change off-line class parameters in DeltaV Explorer not in control studio. If the parameter is not available under the module instance in the DeltaV explorer then you need to tick the box "Allow instance value to be configured" in the class module.

Many thanks, it works but can I tick this option in running plant. I mean to say if I change anything in parent class then it has any impact on its baby modules. Any download issue or anything. Ultimately can I doing this job in live plant or not ?

Usually this will not give any blue triangles, unless you change the parameter in the instance (baby module). However the other way around un-ticking can give a lot of blue triangles, because all instances get the parameter value from the class, so be very careful with un-ticking these boxes in the class. The only time I got the blue triangles is when you tick a parameter in a composite block, which is used in the class. Before making any changes is it always a good practice to make a fhx export. So yes you can do this in a life plant and in the very rare case you have to download (having the blue triangles) you can wait with this until you have an opportunity or import the backup fhx, that will rollback all your changes.

If I change parameter( getting this parameter after tick the box "allow instance value to be configured" in parent class module) in one baby module then I have to download only this module or all baby module in this parent class?

Yes that is correct. Alternatively you can change it online and upload the parameter. Note you can only upload parameters which are available in the instances.
