ALARM HORN PROBLEM
Hello..gm
Actually, i have a problem on site. I have EWS, OWS-1, OWS-2, OWS-3 stations are present on site. In this plant two areas are there Formaldehyde (FD) & Hexamine areas.
This is the DCS Upgradation project. Upgradation procedure work is completed.
Base version=10.3.0 & Upgraded version =13.3.6 (R6).
So, the issue is i'm facing is on alarm banner horn problem. i have only properly getting all both area's alarm horn on OWS-3 only. Remaining station only FD area's alarm horn generate on alarm banner. Hexamine is not.
I have notice on my remaining station that horn is not visible on alarm banner when hexamine alarm is come.
I have tried following things to rectify.
1). Replace Graphics iFix, pic, download ans yellow page folders of ows3 in remaining operators stations.
2). Replace the Alarm banner.
3). Reassigned Area's on Alarm&Event (Area_A, FD and Hexamine).
4). Formatted and Reinstalled 13.3.6 (R6)
5).Rerun the system also.
Thanks & Regard

Look on the AlarmFilter display, do you see white check box with a check mark on the areas?
If you see a grayed out box on the area(s), login to DeltaV again with DeltaV Login button on toolbar or from DeltaV Logon button from Flexlock.

Hi Sunit,
In addition to what Matt suggested, check to be sure the alarm areas have been added to the non-working workstations; under Alarm & Events. To do this, open DeltaV Explorer, expand one of the workstations having an issue, and left click on Alarms and Events. In the right hand panel you will see all the areas included to that workstation; right click to add an area. A workstation not being included in the Alarms and Events will also prevent it from making operational changes to equipment in that Alarm Area as well. The Alarm Areas are the groups you set up under Control Strategy. AREA_A is there by default.
Hope that helps.
