Or tightens a seal, tops up a fluid, cleans away fouling, or replacing a filter or gasket - or whatever the case will be. We don't have robots doing the "act" automatically yet. Thus the top layer in the "technology stack" is the presentation canvas; that gets the maintenance personnel the information they need to act.

Technology stack:
* Presentation canvas (to ACT): operational KPI reports, real-time operational dashboards, operational notifications, mobile, Augmented Reality (AR)
* Application framework (to DECIDE): condition analytics, performance analytics, EMIS, process analytics, location analytics, batch analytics, integrity analytics – combination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) rule-based, first principles (1P),
* Data management platform: existing historian, data aggregation server
* Data sources (to SEE): existing automation system, add-on wireless sensors, location awareness
